'Curb Appeal' was a postage stamp front garden re-make for a young family that recently purchased the home. The original homeowners had added some great touches, and were clearly avid gardeners. The new homeowners were just starting to learn, so we created a garden that utilizes perennials and has a little more structure, without looking too formal. The owners also wanted some kind of evergreen for color throughout the winter. The Chamaecyparis 'Nana' is a slow-growing, attractive evergreen that is relatively easy maintenance. The stones were added as a groundcover on the front edge of the garden which is, um, regularly visited by dogs, and on the back edge where concrete window sills prevented planting.
